The Handyman Press - Hand Riveter & Punch

This is the best purchase I've made since I started making collars and leashes.

Marlin took over thirty minutes with me to make sure I got all the tools I need for my dog collar project. That's the kind of customer service that leads to repeat purchases. But beyond that, we've been very satisfied with the BioThane that we've purchased from you guys over the years!

About 2 years ago I bought the press solely to use with the 1/4" clamps and BioThane rope for dog training leads for my small hobby retail business. It was the only product I found after months of research. It allowed me to use their clamps, which are lighter and just as strong and durable as any clamps out there. The press is impressively well-manufactured and thoughtfully designed for use with a ridiculous number of different accessories. It's truly a multipurpose machine that can be utilized in more ways than I need. Seriously—I used it for the first year solely for pressing clamps with the clamp die! However, a few months back, I grew tired of my standard BG rivet and punch press, which could only punch holes and rivets with a limited number of applications due to the tools being custom-made for that machine, as it is technically a leather punch machine. Plus, BioThane is wonderful, but it blunts leather punches like nothing else. That said, I purchased a simple punch just to see the difference. I was so excited after the first punch to see how clean the holes were in my BioThane collars. After three months and no dulling of the punches, I decided to shelve my other press and go all in on the Handyman, purchasing the centering guide to increase the accuracy of my punches so I can assure my customers a more premium product. And, man, it's such a cool contraption. It's so cleverly designed, and—as I've realized is true with all StrapWarehouse custom items—the construction is solid, well-built, and unusually adjustable, allowing me to use it to make multiple items in my product lineup. TL;DR: Buy it. The build is heavy-duty, and the design is flawless. The custom accessories and tools that can be purchased with it are just as impressive in their quality and performance. It's like a small business in one machine, and the price point is amazing. Don't underestimate the importance of customer service with a machine like this, too. To that end, I will say Marlin and the team have been nothing but delightful and happy to help me over the past few years!

This is a very handy device. with the cutting guide, you can quickly change over from hole punching to riveting which is vital for making BioThane collars.
