    Not great

Posted by Catherine Scannell on 17th Jul 2020

Was excited to try this out, but not impressed. I’ve watched videos on how to use it and played around with it but it almost slows me down rather than speeds me up. You have to play with the height to get the rivets to work and even then they don’t come out looking good. It either does cut all the way through or goes too far and the rivet post bends. You have to pull the rivet out of the hole and most of the time is scratches the rivet or dents it.

The hole puncher is easier than the hand held one but not the cleanest cut. Leaves some extra scraps around the hole that you have to clean up.

The centering guide doesn’t center it precisely and can leave some holes off center, which doesn’t look professional on the finished product

The other problem is that it isn’t easy/quick to switch from one thing to another. You have to take the Allen wrench and fasten each thing every time. I feel like if the piece just screwed on it would be easier.

My experience with the handy man press

Posted by William Smith on 20th Jun 2020

Over all good ideal. Unfortunately I am not quite satisfied with the craftsmanship of the press. The punch does not line up square with the anvil which is causing problems with rivets. Some of the set screw holes were not tapped deep enough to use, and i am missing one set screw. Will be contacting someone Monday. Overall if these things were right it would be a great tool. And I would be pleased.

I have struggled with perfect holes in Biothane for 5 years. Finally, I found a machine designed especially for this tough material. The company is great to work with, almost immediate response time and great products. I found the website when YouTube recommended them because my searches. It’s a great way to kick off my business for the new year.

    SO easy to use

Posted by Banded Pines LLP on 4th Aug 2017

We are in love with our new handyman press! We began using it right away and were blown away by how easy it was to set up and use and how incredibly effortlessly you press down the handle to cut the biothane that we are using. We love it so much that we now want to order the riveter attatchment. This has made our life so much easier compared to hand punching the biothane manually. If you want to cut down on production time...order this press! It is definitely a time saver.
